Symbolism?

This book is filled with symbolism...but what does it really mean?

Why do you think unifying the human bodies with animal parts?

A more physical way of showing how humans really are just animals?
I think it went beyond the more simple, easy ways of just saying that we're all monsters with carnal desires. By using animals like deer and crows and describing them so beautifully but also terrifyingly, it's a way to present the torment and struggles everyone has within themselves and how they can really take over and consume.
Or it's just to show how fucked up Clayton was.

Lucia Alfaro I think its both. Clayton is really fucked up but his madness has become more human than he is. he is a mere puppet to this "dream" consuming him. ...more
