Just started reading it. Fingers crossed we get more than just a name drop for Thrass. If the first chapter is any indication, I'm preparing for military scifi meets political thriller. Now to brew a cup of the Chiss Ascendancy tea blend and enjoy the cloak and dagger politics and Thrawn's adventures.

Rebecca, do you think I need to read the new Thrawn trilogy before starting with Thrawn Ascendancy? Would I miss too much?

Not really. Chaos Rising and Greater Good are set before the new Thrawn trilogy.

Hmmm, so many choices when it comes to Thrawn. I'll probably finish the original Thrawn trilogy first and then go and read Outbound Flight. After that I'll need to decide whether to go for Thrawn or Chaos Rising.

Well, if you read Chaos Rising first you may get some spoilers for Thrawn Alliences. I just remembered that those books cover some of the same story. So you may want to read Thrawn, Thrawn Alliences, and Thrawn Treason first.

I need Lesser Evil. It comes out in November. Dang that ending is ominous. The rancher Lakphro wins for most important character. I need more Thrass.

Just read it. 5 Stars, but confusing. I need to read book 3 when it comes out.
