Hi Matt. Didn't see your post till now.

I'm not on GR a lot now, not sure about Justin. This group wasn't getting a lot of activity well before that.

Not sure how much I'll be on GR atm but happy to chat, I've lost my reading mojo over the last year which has definitely not helped.

Matt McRoberts (nemesis0) | 404 comments Yea most groups on here are pretty much dead. Mostly just posted because i was bored and looking to see if there was anyone around.

I read when i can, but don't get the time. I used to read a couple books a week now it takes a couple weeks to read a book.

Have you read much of anything the last few months?

Hey guys, I Haven't been on in awhile, I got rid of my data plan on my phone and deleted all my social media accounts also. I miss this group but it was getting hard to keep up with updates and will be even harder now without data. How have you both been though?

Matt McRoberts (nemesis0) | 404 comments I've been doing fine. Work and life has cut back on my reading time, but i manage to get it in when i can.

Working my way through the Frank Herbery Dune books as of late. Almost finished with the third book (CHILDREN OF DUNE).

Otherwise lots of audio books at work.

Hi Justin, good to see you on here. I wondered what had happened to you.
I'm okay just now, so sick of what's happening in the UK just now, this lockdown is just never-ending.
I just finished Savage Season by Joe R Lansdale and moved on The Santangelos by Jackie Collins (don't judge me, 😁)

I read the first book years ago but never finished the series. I see they are making a tv show that looks good.

I love lansdale, that series was great for work because all the audiobooks where around 8 hours so i could finish a full book each night. I had to look the other series up but it sounds good. not that im one to judge anyone for what they read, have you seen my finished book shelf? lol.

I have been listening to a lot of free for review books lately, not much worth talking about there lol. The new keene novela "with teeth" was pretty good though.

There is a new movie coming out for Dune that looks decent from what little i have seen.

I can't remember if i heard about the TV show. Sounds a little familiar.

I liked the first and third books in the series, but the second wasn't as interesting. I've been breaking up the series by reading one book, then reading something else, then reading the next book. Right now i have RELIC by Alan Dean Foster going and it's fairly interesting.

Have you used the Overdrive app before? Just need a library card and you can usually take out ebooks and audiobooks for a time (I think up to three weeks). I used to use that a lot till i ended up getting an audible account.

That book 'Relic' looks quite good. Sounds as though you're enjoying it.
I've finished The Santangelos (a good trashy read) and started The Dead Women Of Juárez. Only a few pages in so not sure what to expect. I think I'll go back and finish off Slob before I read anymore.
I went to a book sale today at one of the local churches, a bit busier than it was last year which was good. I managed to get 26 books, it's open for another 2 weeks so I'll probably go a few more days as they were putting out more books as people were browsing.
Any new books for you 2?

Matt McRoberts (nemesis0) | 404 comments I am liking RELIC so far. The characters are good and the story is interesting enough to keep me reading. I probably would be almost finished with it if not finished if i had more time to read.

I am starting in on the third book in David Wong's JOHN DIES AT THE END series in audiobook and those are always a bit interesting if not overly crazy stories.

After RELIC i'll probably start in on the fourth book in the DUNE series (GOD EMPEROR OF DUNE), which is another longer book so it'll probably take me a long while to get through it,

Nice haul at the book sale. I'm waiting to see if the local library does it's book sale this year at a local church, which they didn't do last year because of all the covid stuff going on. They usually have a ton of books up for sale for decent prices the last couple times they had it.
