Jewel walked in

Lilac walked in. Studying a scroll curiously.

Jewel looked up. “Oh hi!” Jewel said cheerfully

Lilac was happy to see a cheery face. “Hi!” Said Lilac. “I’m Lilac the RainWing! I believe the hammock is for me. I think we have a SeaWing for our other clawmate. Guessing from the small water pool right there.”

“I’m Jewel!” Jewel said. Her eyes were a bright blue with black centers.

((Is the other clawmate Seagrass?)

Seagrass slumped in and sat in the pool with an unhappy expression.

Jewel noticed Seagrass. "Hey are you okay?" Jewel asked.

Lilac looked at Seagrass. Lilac didn’t really hold a grudge for long, but she found her scales turning orange with annoyance.

"Why should I tell you?" Seagrass grumbled at Jewel. Then she saw Lilac and glared.

“Seagrass called me a ‘idiot’ because I’m a RainWing,” said Lilac. Her scales the color of mangoes and nectarines.

"If you were a Seawing and had tribist parents, wouldn't you grow up the same?" Seagrass asked, her tail thrashing angrily.

“At least try to be nice to your clawmates,” said Lilac.

"Do you think I want to be here?" Seagrass said. "You guys just represent the fact I had no free will in this decision."

“Shut up both of you!” Jewel said.

Lilac’s scales turned purple from guilt. “Sorry. I want to be friends with my clawmates. How about we all turn onto a new leaf?”

Jewel growled in her throat. She turned around and sat down, her back to them both. A scroll was in her claws. Her horns were light blue and hints of blue were around her wings, talons, spine and tail.

"SHUT UP? SHUT UP? Do you know what It's like to live in a family where YOU'RE the crazy one with the weird theories? The mean grumpy one who no one wants to spend time with? Then the RAINWINGS come up. Who have everything and lots of food and the most perfect life ever." Seagrass said.

(I made this before the whole 'Let's turn a new leaf' thing. Let's pretend this is around the time Jewel said shut up, and the next one is after the turn a new leaf)

"I don't want to be here. I'll bear you guys living with me if you don't upset me. Understand? I don't want any part in this mushy friend nonsense, but closest thing to a friend I can have is an ally, meaning I'll make sure none of you get harmed while you abide to my rules."

Lilac sighed. She had already ruined everything. But then again, Seagrass had said idiot to her and Jewel had said a harsh quietness request and then Lilac just hadn’t reacted nicely. “Sorry,” he murmured and slipped into her hammock. She closed her eyes and fell asleep quickly.

Jewel growled fiercely at Seagrass, laid down and fell asleep.

Seagrass growled back. "Mother, I'm going to this school for you." Seagrass muttered. She sunk into her pool and feel asleep.

Lilac hope she would find real friends soon.

((How about Seagrass’s mother is a teacher? Then she can meat Okapi my SandWing!))

Hours later, Jewel woke up with a yawn and poked Seagrass.

((That would be cool! ))

Seagrass woke up. "Father, if you want me to eat grouper again, I'll pound you till you're stone!" She grumbled sleepily. Then she saw Jewel. "First rule: No poking." She snarled.

"And you are just grumpy." Jewel snarled right back.

Lilac was still fast sleep. Someone would have to wake her up—

Jewel bared her teeth at Seagrass, walked over to Lilac and nudged her.

Lilac opened her eyes. “Is it already morning?”

((It is))

"Yes." Jewel said

“Oh….ok,” said Lilac. She got out of the hammock and yawned. Her venomous fangs shining in the sunlight for a few seconds then her mouth shut. She looked from side to side then said, “Jewel, want to go get breakfast with me?”

"Morning is the worst time. It's when you have to escape happiness and enter reality." Seagrass announced, annoyed. Then she flashed 'squid-brain' to Jewel in aquatic.

“I don’t think I like Seagrass,” said Lilac.

"I don't think I like you. Glad we're on on the same page." Seagrass growled.

“If only you were nice,” said Lilac. Looking sad. Deep blue split across her scales.

((Gtg))

"Now if you excuse me, I'm going to see my mother and escape you fog-heads."

((Bye))

Jewel scowled.

Seagrass turned around. "What I said applies to you, too." She grumbled.

"Don't you think I already knew that, SeaWing? Or should I say squid-brain?" Jewel spat.

"Three squid-brains in a cave. Tsunami must not have been thinking clearly when she paired us together." Seagrass, a bit of amusement creeping into her scowl.

Jewel stepped forward. "And you need to shut up. My mother is here and I can easily ask her to speak with Princpal Tsunami or YOUR mother, perhaps. Word to the wise, Don't. Mess. With. The IceWing." Jewel asked and smiled with all her teeth.

"Don't bring my mother into this! It's not her fault for anything! And if you would just listen to me, I could tell you why I'm like this. And maybe we can resolve this issue. Just don't do anything to my mother. Or my brother, for that matter." Seagrass said, but the usual anger and grumpiness in her voice was replaced with worry.

“I can listen. And I’m not a bloodthirsty monster.” Jewel said

"That's relieving. Now I'll tell you." Seagrass said. "My mother is a very kind soul. My father, the completely different. It's an example of opposites attract, I suppose. He taught me Rainwings were horrible. He changed my sweet, happy dragonet side into who I am today. But as much as I'd hate to admit it, he meant well. He wanted to turn me into someone who could defend herself, so that I wouldn't have the flaws of my mother. But he took it too far. And I don't regret who I turned into. This is who I am, and now I won't change it for any dragon. I guess that's what makes me Current's daughter." Seagrass finished.

“What makes me Snowstorm’s daughter is to stab NightWings in the face. My father is way stronger than yours. I’d like to see you beat me in a fight. My mother is extremely mean to everyone except me and my father, Sleet.” Jewel said
