I don't think I actually know anything about it...! In Scotland, though, we had a witch-hunt trial in North Berwick 1590s, because James VI had travelled to Norway to marry Anne of Denmark, who had sailed to Scotland but was rerouted to Norway due to storms - James VI went over, encountered storms, married in Norway and came back to Scotland through even more storms, and some had admitted to having standing by the Berwick coast chanting for the kin's death by sea.
Oh wow that's really interesting! (:I just did a quick google search on that, but will try to look into it deeper later.
Other than the werewolf trials I don't know much about witchcraft accusations in historical Europe or the United Kingdom.
Hey guys! I’m so sorry for being late with this. I was trying to wait until I at least finished the book to post these questions. Please give me mercy! D:Hopefully, you understand the lack of time to read especially with finals end- of-year projects being due and such.

Without further ado,
Ladies, and gentlemen,
The Crucible questions!
1. Which character did you relate to the most, and what was it about them that you connected with?
2. Did you notice any foreshadowing in the tale?
3. What was your initial reaction to the book? Did it hook you immediately, or take some time to get into, or did you dislike it throughout?
4. John Proctor agrees to falsely confess to avoid death. He later changes his mind. Why did he refuse to confess?
5. Did you perceive the characters as victims? Or did you find that it was largely their fault?
I'm still reading but I should be done very soon.I'm listening to a really good dramatic reading, and the actors are really great.
It's low-key creepy though lmao
Don't worry about it Rose :) And I do plan to read the Crucible, as I quite like it! I remember this book the most in my high school English class. There is also the film with Daniel Day Lewis, really well done I thought, if anyone's interested to watch it after reading it, too.

The Crucible is a dramatized portrayal of the salem witch trials in the form of a play.
How much do you guys know about the trials that took place in salem massachusetts??
