Over the last few years I have been slowly making my way through the list of histories in The Well-Educated Mind by Susan Wise Bauer. I plan to start The Ecclesiastical History of the English People by the Venerable Bede in June.
I didn't think I'll be doing all the prompts, but I couldn't help myself. I had to make a TBR because I love the idea of this readathon. For this prompt I'm reading 'The Art of War' by Sun Tzu. I always thought it was a huge book and I kept avoiding it, until I realised that my copy is the annotated version and the text itself wasn't long at all. I wasn't intimidated only by the length, though. It's not something I'd normally be interested in, but I'll try it for this readathon.
I'm not sure yet what I'll read here, although it seems likely that it will be an attempt to continue reading The Anglo-Saxon Chronicle!
I will be taking the non-fiction part loosely here and will be reading "The Travels of Marco Polo" .
