Because I don't want to worry about nominations over the summer, we're going to do a 2-for-1 nomination for July and August.

For this round of nominations, nominations need to include two books. One non-fiction and a related fiction. Nominations also need to include a brief sentence tying the two books together.
For example - The Wars of the Roses: The Fall of the Plantagenets and the Rise of the Tudors by Dan Jones (non-fiction) and The Sunne in Splendour by Sharon Kay Penman - Both of these books deal with the Wars of the Roses in England.

Reminders
ALL OF THE REQUIREMENTS LISTED ABOVE MUST BE MET FOR A NOMINATION TO COUNT
ALL MEMBERS GET ONE NOMINATION AND ONE SECOND - Please clearly mark when you second a book. Extra comments about books are not necessary. It gets difficult for the moderators to keep track when the thread gets cluttered with extra chatter.
NOMINATIONS MUST INCLUDE TITLE AND AUTHOR TO BE COUNTED - In this instance, nominations need to include two titles and two authors.
BOOKS IN A SERIES MUST BE READ IN ORDER - If we haven't read books 1-4 as group reads, you can't nominate book 5.
NO SELF-NOMINATIONS- Warnings will not be issued. The comment will be deleted and the member removed from the group.
The complete breakdown of the nomination process can be found here - https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Please, please, please double check our past reads shelf before submitting your nomination. We've read a lot.

Kymm | 1752 comments I know it's still early but I'm going to second "The Life of Dorothea Dix" by David L. Gollaher and "One Glorious Ambition: The Compassionate Crusade of Dorothea Dix" by Jane Kirkpatrick. Both sound great and anything having to do with mental illness, women and the early history of the two is right up my alley!

Everyone making nominations needs to make sure they are including all THREE nomination requirements in their nomination post.

The reply feature seems to be glitchy right now so I'm not able to reply to individual comments. If your nomination doesn't end up on any of the "up to this point" list, it's more than likely missing one of the three required elements.

I'm holding off on putting together the normal list of poll books so far. At this point, all of the nominations will make any poll. If this changes, I will be sure to put together a list so we can all see where the nominations are at.
