Hey y'all! Just checking in on here. Joey, Roland and I met up yesterday for a really fun and smart discussion on Her Body and Other Parties. Hopefully some more of y'all will be able to make the next meeting -- the last Sunday (27th) at 11am -- now that it's set so far in advance.
Joey was brave/gracious enough to pick our next book, so we will be reading The Butterfly and the Flame by Dana De Young. I knew nothing about it until he suggested it, but it appears to be an apocalyptic sci-fi yarn where America has outlawed homosexuality. The kindle version is $4.99, though if you are looking for a hard copy of the book, it does appear pretty pricey; my suggestion would be to get a used copy from an amazon seller.
