sign below. If you do not, you will not be able to roleplay and even if you submit a character, it cannot be accepted. I urge mods to check this before approving new member's characters. If I notice that you have no understanding of the rules, you will receive a warning and I suggest you read the rules thoroughly.

1) semi-advanced
- As I put a lot of work into the details of this, I'd like it if you could do the same. You must have an appropriate level of detail in responses, as well as your characters. Therefore, the minimum for responses is five sentences. That also doesn't mean short, baby sentences. We are all big kids, so I expect proper, detailed responses. Placing a period in the middle of a sentence also doesn't make it a sentence.

2) grammar and punctuation
- I fully expect proper punctuation and grammar. I'm okay with occasional mistakes, but if you cannot write proper sentences with proper punctuation and can't use proper grammar and spelling, I suggest looking up a few youtube videos or talking to a teacher for extra tutoring and help, as you can't go very far without those things. sorry, not sorry. Punctuation might not seem like a big deal, but it determines the tone of your writing, as well as the words and grammar you use. Whether it's writing a novel or just sending an email to your boss, it's important. If you use abbreviations such as 'u' or 'ur', it'll be taken as you texting your best friend and you won't be taken seriously. Punctuation determines when you pause and stuff. For example, "Let's eat, Grandma" could be "Let's eat grandma." Or, "Eat your dinner" can be "Eat. You're dinner." See how that can be problematic? It sets the tone, and it can even change the meaning of your words entirely.

3) no godmodding
- godmodding is unacceptable. your character is not going to be all-powerful and all-knowing. you don't control other people's characters, only yours.

4) mary/gary sues.
- like previously stated, you cannot be all-powerful. I expect, along with their abilities, there are reasonable and plentiful limitations and drawbacks to going along with this. your character won't be accepted without these

5) third person
- sorry, but you may only roleplay in the third person. for example, it would be 'sarah stared at the gate before her, astonished.' not 'I stared at the gate, completely astonished.' However, you may put their thoughts and stuff in the response, either directly or in a roundabout way. 'sarah stared at the gate before her, completely astonished. what was happening? was this a dream?' or 'sarah stared at the gate before her, completely astonished. 'what is happening? is this a dream?' she thought to herself, mouth wide open.' If you haven't noticed, how you write the situation can also change the tone and which words you use. By stating her thoughts indirectly, I used words like 'was', however, when stating her thoughts directly, I used 'is.'
I'd also like to state you are not your character. You may have self-inserts, however, don't include personal information. I'm sure I'm not the only one, but it is very annoying when someone refers to themself as their character, such as 'my abilities are' or 'yeah, this is how I awakened my character.' Even if you do roleplay in third person when it comes down to this, seeing this out of character can be very confusing and annoying. Please refer to your character as a separate entity.

6) no cyberbullying
- This should be a given. Your characters are allowed to be mean, rude, whatever. However, you MAY NOT, be rude or mean to the admin, or the person playing the character. So, if you were to call someone a bitch out of character, it would be unacceptable. You may not also trash talk about someone's character. be respectable and mature.

7) personal info
- do not share personal information here. I don't care if you say something like your age or anything like that, however, saying stuff like your address, real name, etc is a big nono. I, personally, suggest not to do this online at all, but if you are going to regardless, do it in DMs. We also don't want face reveals. no doxing or anything like that either.

8) respect
- you must respect not only the mods but the other members. if you do, we will naturally do the same. please do not argue with mods or other members either, instead, take it to dms. If it's a personal issue with a mod, bring it to dms, if not, do not argue with mods period.
- you may not rush people either. this falls under respect. you must respect their boundaries, triggers, and even their time. if they cannot respond, please respect that. be patient, people have lives.
- you also can't just jump into other people's roleplays or jump into a thread that's in use. this is disrespectful, and honestly, just annoying. If you're not sure, ask and wait for a response from the people who are roleplaying there.

9) appropriate
- keep things appropriate. anything like NSFW and everything should be taken to DMs or not done at all. it's not acceptable here. there is bound to be gore and violence here though, and I'm not going to restrict the mentions of drugs though. however, if you do have these in your responses, mark them off with a trigger warning. if anyone reads it after seeing the words 'trigger warning' then it's their fault. I suggest putting it in big and bold for them to see. you will not be reprimanded if you do so.

10) discrimination
- it's pretty obvious, but I'll state it anyway. no racist comments, no shaming others, nothing. Be accepting or shut your mouth. We don't want to hear it. no politics either.
