The second book in Joe Abercrombie's trilogy The First Law.

Also my second book of Abercrombie's and I am hooked. Character driven with loads of humor, and a realistic fantasy world. I have just recently waded into the genre of Grim Dark fantasy. Abercrombie serves this genre well, telling the story with humor and sometimes compassion.

Buddy reading this series with GR's friend and anxiously await the 3rd book.
