This was a similar scene to the one in Melinda Leigh's What I've Done, so I could not help but compare the two. While it was clear in Leigh's book that Haley was being set up, I wasn't so sure about Caitlyn. Her disordered thoughts and history of mental illness suggested to me that she might have killed her husband in some sort of fugue state.
I agree Lauren. I wasn't sure what to think in the beginning. I went back and forth between Caitlyn's "twin" was committing the crime and someone was setting her up.
I wasn't sure if she had actually been there or if this was some paranormal ju-ju. I thought she had been drugged at the bar and like Lauren was in a drug induced fugue state. But cutting herself and the amount of blood was strange. I didn't think she was strong enough to kill her husband in her bedroom and move him to his house. So, where did all the blood come from?
I was thinking she had done it and suppressed it, or maybe multiple personalities. But as Caitlyn seemed to be the heroine of the story I also thought it was more likely she was being set up. Lisa Jackson isn't the type of writer that has her main characters as murderers.
It's a given that, generally, the heroine and the hero are not the baddies in any romantic-suspense.
I didn’t think she’d done it because the murder scene was elsewhere and why in the world would she have all that blood only in her bedroom? She’d have left a trail all through her house. I thought she’d been set up.

Great reference! I’d forgotten about that scene. At least in that one the body was on scene.

Sharon wrote: "I agree Lauren. I wasn't sure what to think in the beginning. I did feel like she was being set up, but Kelly was one of my suspects from the beginning. I just kept thinking that Caitlyn had been drugged and taken to the murder scene to witness it as a way to further her mental breakdown.
