So how many times can a writer use kidnapping as a plot device?

Nuran A lot of times! Pretty much everyone in this book/series gets kidnapped or caught and held as prisoner, from Belen, to Kerrick, Flea, Zila, Avry. Some more than once, sometimes in a group or by themselves. I struggled to finish this book because it felt repetitive. I was rolling my eyes, not another kidnapping/being held prisoner...

Anyone else got fed up of this plot device?

KritikaB Totally understand. I like the story but, it did get repetitive. I kept thinking 'Not again!!!!' especially with Avery.

Nuran Yeah, Avery got kidnapped or captured a lot. And I find it funny that the captures pretty much leads to vital information or recruits for the allies.
