Amazon Kindle discussion

Hi @Sherry! I loved my Voyage, too. I've never had a Paperwhite, and I'm not sure what you mean by basic Kindle. However, next to my Voyage, my favorite Kindle has been my 7-inch Oasis, 9th Gen (the 10th Gen Oasis is the current one sold). It has buttons and more LED lights than the Paperwhite. It has other additional features over the Paperwhite. Also, if you have older eyes that don't read menus well, the Oasis is the answer. If you love your Voyage, you might enjoy the Oasis.

The most recent Paperwhite is the closest to the Voyage. It's the one I like

I had a Voyage too, which I loved but which died at last. I was tempted by the Oasis, but in the end went for a Paperwhite -- simpler operation and smaller to hold. I've had it for a year now, & I'm very satisfied. I do miss the buttons, however.

not me - I immediately turned off the touch buttons on my Voyage when I received it.

I've never used a voyage but I had the paperwhite and now have the oasis. I like my oasis much better than the paperwhite (which I gave to my husband). It's bigger and seems to be easier on my eyes. I also have a fire tablet and will only use it for reading if I can't get the book on my oasis for some reason.

I have a Fire, and I've had five of them over the years - it seems like they always read a point where they're so slow and get bogged down and too frustrating to use... so I end up buying a new one.

I know it's Prime Days starting tomorrow, I'll have to look into them - can you send non Kindle docs to it?

The Oasis is heavier than the Paperwhite. The Paperwhite is waterproof. And the current model Paperwhite is nothing like the earlier model Paperwhites - it has a glass screen (the early Paperwhites felt coarse and plasticy), is flush to the bezel, comes in more colors and is $100 cheaper.
