I'm thinking of changing the cover of my book, mostly as a marketing experiment. Has anyone out there ever redesigned a perfectly good cover for any reason?

Publishers update covers to refresh the audience / visual appeal for a book that's been on the market a while. I updated covers of my novels when I started writing the 3rd book in a series and had a fresh design concept. The new version has been much more successful.
