The 3rd installment in the author's seasonal quartet. Highly political, the story reflects the anxiety of the times, particularly the inhumane treatment of UK migrants. The parallel story is an aging filmmaker and recent death of his screenwriter close friend and his subsequent awakening and rebirth. 3.5 stars rounded down.
