Dreamer | 5128 comments Many of us (if not all of us) have lengthy TBR lists, that often contain books we don't even remember when we added them. But also, there are some books, that we feel like we need to read them, not want to read them. So these are the top books on our TBR! Share your top TBR books here, and/or give opinion for books you have read on other people's top TBR!

Willow Anne | 1604 comments I just finished War and Peace and loved it! It's so easy to get into the lives of all the characters, and they're so beautifully interwoven! I'd definitely recommend it if you have the time :)

Dreamer | 5128 comments Since I posted my top TBR here, I've read The Song of Achilles& The Secret History, and some of the others are not on my top TBR anymore. So my current top TBR is:

Tolkien If We Were Villains by M.L. Oh, I see A Little Life up there, oh yes. ;) I feel like you would really enjoy it. I have reasons to think that the book isn't for everybody, but somehow I think you'd really like it. Sixth sense?

To Kill a Mockingbird is a decent classic. It won't disappoint! A good book about human nature, but not too heavy to read. And Flowers is really fun to read, actually; the book tells the story in a super creative way. It got me out of my reading slump.

Both Crime and Punishment and The Brothers Karamazov are great books! I couldn't recommend them more! (Although I must admit I liked Crime and Punishment a bit more than The Brothers Karamazov)

message 25: by Dreamer (new)

Dreamer | 5128 comments Once again my top TBR has changed.. I've read 5 of the books that used to be on my top TBR when I last posted here, and there are also others which I don't want to read that much anymore. (Actually, there is only one common book between my old and my current top TBR)

So here is my current one:
One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra Baudolino by Umberto Eco The Mysterious Flame of Queen Loana by Umberto Eco The Color Purple by Alice Walker Girl, Woman, Other by Bernardine Evaristo Ariel by Sylvia Plath A Pale View of Hills by Kazuo Ishiguro Night Sky with Exit Wounds by Ocean Vuong No Longer Human by Osamu Dazai Giovanni's Room by James Baldwin A Room of One's Own by Virginia Woolf To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf Hell by Henri Barbusse Inseparable by Simone de Beauvoir De Profundis by Oscar Wilde

The problem is that all those are 16 books, and I can no way afford so many. I mean, so far this year I've bought 15 books, so I don't see how I'll manage to read all those anytime soon.. Anyway, in case you've read any of these, I'd love to know your opinion!

So many classics! Great TBR list you have, Dreamer <3

For One Hundred Years of Solitude, I've heard that there are a ton of characters that the book gets confusing sometimes, so taking notes would probably be a good idea. XD

Yess, I think 95% of my TBR is just classics XD

I didn't know One Hundred Years of Solitude has so many characters! I assumed that since the title contains solitude, it would have just a few characters. Stupid if me, I know. But thanks for informing! I usually don't have a problem with many characters, but it's nice knowing that before starting a book :)

I've read heartstopper. Personally, I found it a bit shallow, but if you're just looking for a cute romance to relax, that's a good choice :)
