I'm not sure. At first I thought it was to make Gus feel more a part of the inner circle, but Lara didn't share any information. My second thought was Connor wanted to keep an eye on Gus and used Lara as his informant. The whole thing made me a little pissed.

That does make sense. I couldn’t figure out his motive or plan. But even though Lara didn’t share with Gus, neither was she willing to share with Connor anything regarding Gus.
Jonetta, Do we know she didn't share information with Connor. I thought she was included in their round-table meetings with the President to discuss what path to take.

Conner wanted Lara could keep and eye on Gus and report back what she was up to. I don't think it would have quite worked like Connor wanted.
