I’m looking for a few good new series to read. My success of late has been not so good.
Authors I enjoy are John C. Dalglish, Dan Walsh, Creston Mapes, James Scott Bell. There are others but my mind is drawing a blank right now.
Ideally Christian but I manly want clean, no sex, profanity, etc. I know writing is creative and marination is good but I like some reality, no over the top with more holes then Swiss cheese. I’ma curmudgeon so I can not handle low doses of romance more if it isn’t sappy.
I’m just so tired of finding book one of a series but then in book two the f-word becomes more used, sex and infidelity are more common than copper pennies.
A good old fashion mystery is a favorite with some suspense. One where I don’t know who the killer is by the end of chapter 3. Crime fiction is good too. No disrespect ladies, but it seems so many protagonists our ladies. I’m a kid at heart, I like to plu my self in the role of the protagonist so male protagonist are preferred, but female are good just as long as they’re more smart and she iisn’’t a women who has something to prove and she as hard core and gritty as any tough guy.
I like protagonist that are family members, not washed up, disgraced cop, still n love with his ex, hates his boss who is dumb and a jerk. No past demons haunting him, etc. no totally insane psycho killer who has to be all the slayer movie characters in me. Extreme anything turns me off.

Okay enough of my curmudgeon side.
Bottom line I want to be entertained.
