~final thoughts~ :

It Ends With Us was my first book by Colleen Hoover and I felt I was living under a rock until now. Once I discovered her, I haven't been able to stop reading her books.. I loved the characters in IEWU, I loved the story although it was heart-breaking and the end just split my heart in two but I wouldn't have accepted it any other way. I loved and was obsessed with Ryle by the first half and then hated him with all that I have in the second half.. I guess for an author to be able to bring out such emotions in a span for few chapters, that too about the same character is tremendous.. I loved and respected Lily with all my heart and Atlas was just a sweet character.. he was just there.. I am sure even if Lily didn't return to Atlas, I would've loved the book all the same..

The Song of Achilles, my first mythology inspired book... my first book by the author and first historic fiction too.. I didn't expect I would be in love with this book as much as I was.. I really loved Patroclus.. He was a gem and the way he dealt with his vulnerability, his love for Achilles just ached my heart... To be completely honest, I hated Achilles in these last moments, his ego and his pride killed Patroclus and I was a bit happy I guess when he died (just a little bit though).. I ached for both of them and their end...

Nothing screams Romance like the beautiful month of fall.. for the month of August we held a book debate for two of the best Romances - It Ends with Us and The Song of Achilles and now we have a winner... DUN! DUN! DUN! It's It Ends with Us... and as promised, we have a wining-book themed challenge ready for you all!

We will be publishing the challenge rules and prompts to be completed shortly. We are currently opening this thread for sign-ups. Once we have all the names, we will be dividing you all in teams..
