Ya know, one way to deal with the Problem of Many Names would be if you wouldn't fucking make a 300 pages break in the middleof scenes, where these names exist. I'm even lazy to look it up now whossis is Rand is talking with, I just stamp her "not important, inconsequential". As a writer, you don't want that.
There is this problem that occured to me for a while. In an aspect I've already talked about it. Let's assume Rand conqueres all, and finally beats Mr. Satan. Then what. Like in that instance various countries that hate each others gutts would be under one flag. Like Asmodean the flag would change, but not the person. And Mr. Satan is just like the White Supremacy Parade in GoT: they are told they will come, but never arrive. Sure, WoT is one grade better, but still below the "you passed" mark. Sure, there is some activity, out of their place, at various places - but what did they accomplish? One of the dangers of a millions of pages story like Wot is, the Big Enemy becomes barely a problem, merely an inconvenience. The problem you see is, you should let the enemy win. But in WoT whenever a threat appears, it is bashed back, like a whack-a-mole. And just like at whack-a-mole there is no endgame, no chance the moles don't re-appear. You could make a case for beating the senchean in Book 2. Not to write them into the story, but if they are already there, to beat them. Aside the obvious nazi problem, which AJ doesn't intelnd to condemn. The point is, why Rand went to Cairnhien? Who the fuck cares? You have your army, you have a carava of magic items - ATTACK THE DAMN THING! What do you want from these people? What can they give to you? I don't know. I can not be sure this woth it. Like thousands of aiels got lost in this stupid infight of the faction. Aiels are way more valuableunits than regular people. So why suffer the loss? The United Empire will crumble to bits like the very second you've beaten Mr. Satan, so who cares if the shaido kll a couple of hundred thousands? I don't. I have no connection to those people, less than the main characters. So fuck 'em! Go in, fight the endboss, and be done with it!
Ah, finaly something worthy of attention: a black ajah sent a letter too!
Hrmph, Matt is still here.
Uhm, where do Rand know abut Rahvin/Gaebril in Caemlyn?
Rand wants to assassinate Rahvin.
I bet this is some psychological phenomena, that if you ask a million times "are we there yet" the answer will be yes. Even worse here the "now Kadere did escape, right?" You have no control over the stiuation, you don't care for the name, and it was asked so many times things get fuzzy, and while the fact is "he did not escape" it blands into backgorund noise, half themessage gets lost, so your brain think it is confirmed he did escape. Either way, asking "Kadere got the ships already" is just nonsense, because there was no word he went, or was sent getting any ship.
Matt does not have to escape, because Rand asks him to go away, becasue he wants to get away. And maybe his task is to assassinate Sammael? That'd be almost cool.
So yes, it is confirmed there are black fremens.
---------------
Lanfear appears, makes a jealousy-scene, Rand sucks monkeydick, Moiraine falls through on some tangreal with Lanfear. Instead of excitement I stand here with the question: what happened? Also, this is some erotic romance soap opera BS. You know those books.
---------------
The tangreal the two wamen fell through got destroyed, so Let's say "presumabléy dead". This also means both of the two stronges Forsaken are written out. the rest are just numbers.
Forsakens: 1 Semirhage 2 Lanfear (Mierin) <--- (dead, book 5) 3 Ishamael, the betrayer of hope (Elan Morin Tedornain) <--- (dead, book 3) 4 Aginor <--- (dead, book 1) 5 Balthamel <--- (dead, book 1) 6 Demandred 7 Luc <--- (retconned in book 4) 8 Isam <--- (retconned in book 4) 9 Sammael <--- (Illian, Tel Janin Aellinsar) 10 Asmodean (Joar Addam Nesossin) <--- (cut, book 4) 11 Be'lal <--- (dead, book 3) 12 Ravhin <--- (Caemlyn) 13 (dead, book 2) <--- (retconned in book 4) 14 Moghedien 15 Graendal 16 Mesaana 17 Ba'alzamon
Finaly some conflict built on Rand's character. His Prince Charming attitude vs the amazon wamen.
Rand with a bunch of Aiel, plus Matt teleports to Caemlyn (soon).
