So i dont have money for the entire series, if someone could recommend which ones i should read, that'd be great.... I was told 1-3? Preferably that ends at a good point, if that makes sense. Also that it's all related, not an entirely new story.

My favorite is Faith of The Fallen, followed by Confessor. It helps to read the first book Wizard's First Rule
For sure read Wizard's First Rule to see how you like it. The others more or less follow a long story arc so it would not make a lot of sense to read them out of order. If you look on EBay you can find people selling the first 5 or 6 paperbacks as a set for about $20.
If you get a Kindle app for your phone and subscribe to Kindle Unlimited for $9.99 per month you can read all the books you want. I love this series and all it’s spin-offs as well. I wouldn’t have wanted to miss a single one!
What about the books after Confessor? I could never get into them the way I enjoyed the books up until then. Are they really part of the same series? How do you like them?
The 4 Richard and Kahlan books follow on from the Sword of Truth and feature most of the same characters. The 4 books in the Nicci Chronicles only feature Nicci and Nathan. Both are complete series. I enjoyed both sets of books, although probably not quite as much as the originals. I haven't read the Children of D'Hara yet but I believe that is a complete story too. Hope that helps.

I read Children of D'hara, it is a continuation of the Richard and Kahlan series. A little different, it reads more like a horror. I enjoyed it though. Same characters.

Hi!It’s hard not recommending you start them from the beginning and work through the series as you can afford them. I have the whole collection, but I slowly picked them up over a couple years on AbeBooks.com and ThriftBooks. They’re around $5 dollars there, depending on condition and I believe the paperbacks are even cheaper. I love new books, but prices are crazy so both of those sites are great tools!
Do you have access to any of them at a public library? Or, can you get a subscription to audio or ebooks? I recommend starting at the beginning with Wizard's First Rule. Each book builds on the previous one. It also explains much of Richard's first years which later books often refer to.
