15.4 - Supersize Me
In 1992, McDonald’s released their famous supersize fries and drink. The upsized option stayed on the menu until 2004, when the fast-food chain decided to strive for healthier food choices.

Select an option. Required: Indicate the option when you post.

Option 1: Read one book 1 and one book 2
Book 1: Read a book written by an author whose initials (all of them) can be found in any combination of MCDONALD'S, FRIES, and/or DRINK. Works with multiple authors may be used as long as all contributor initials can be found in the target word(s). Letters can be used only as often as they appear in the target word(s).

Book 2: Read a book with at least 500 pages.

OR

Option 2: Read one book that fulfills both book 1 and book 2 requirements.

Simone (simonec75) For Option 1, Book 1: what do you mean by "in any combination"? Does this book fit? The Bear
The author is Andrew Kvirak. The A is in McDonalds and the K in Drinks.

Yes, exactly, the A in McDonalds and the K in Drinks will work.

Robin P | 1658 comments I find it easier to put the letters altogether this way:

AACDDEFIIKLMNNORRSS

I assume that they can be used as many time as they appear, so, for example, Naomi Novik would work since there are 2 N's.

Yes, as many times as they appear. So, NN would work.

Katrisa | 1453 comments So for option 2 I can use The Mask of Mirrors by M.A. Carrick because author's initials are in the phrases and it is 630 pages correct?

Yes, that works for the one book option.

Sophie (drsophie) | 384 comments When we are looking at author initials do relational suffixes count i.e. Jr?

L.E. Modesitt Jr. would work if Jr is not counted, but if it is, I'm going to have to rethink this task!

The rule you're looking for can be found in the Default Rules and FAQs thread:
"AUTHORs 1. Relational suffixes, such as Jr., III, etc. do not count as part of the name for SRC purposes."
