Ah thanks for creating the thread. I’m currently about half way through chapter three: door and demon, really enjoying it so far!
I’m really enjoying this also! I’m only on chapter 2. I’m wondering how Jake was able to “remember the future” and knows everything that is supposed to happen before he gets pushed in the street? I understand how that moment creates the two separate pieces of his mind, but having a hard time wrapping my head around how the alternate timelines play in
I was wondering the same actually. My guess is that it is the effects of ‘passing under the umbrella of ka-tet’. Maybe it somehow enables Jake to see his future and what is destined to happen but when it doesn’t occur it creates the two timelines.

I'm also thinking that it may be explained more later in the series.

I'd also really like to know more about why it is Eddie and Susannah that have been drawn into the gunslingers world. I'm sure it will all be explained in time but I'm so interested in the reasons why they were chosen over any one else, other than they possess some of the characteristics of a gunslinger.
Just starting chapter 3 now. I liked all the coincidences from Jakes world that align to phrases and themes from the gunslingers world. I’m curious to learn more about the concept of Ka and Ka-tet, pretty cool concepts
I’m still moving along slowly… really enjoying it. I thought the part where it describes Jake trying to find the key / door to cross over a little too drawn out and long, but otherwise good
