Bill | 1257 comments Some Japanese literature is way out of print, and yet we want to buy it. Perhaps some publishers are reading this group, and we can tell them what we want.

Make your suggestions below, and I'll try to keep this list up-to-date.

A Tale of Flowering Fortunes
Confucius by Inoue Yasushi
torikaebaya monogatari
The Bells of Nagasaki by Nagai Takashi
In the Pool by Okuda Hideo

Jack (jack_wool) | 778 comments Bill, definitely wish that A Tale of Flowering Fortunes (McCulloughs translators) would be reprinted. It is hard to find and very expensive to buy a used copy of the two volumes.

Bill | 1257 comments I had luck finding this on inter-library loan through my local library. I'll just have to give up on the idea of owning a copy. It's a hole in my collection of classical Japanese literature in English that I'll never fill.
