A reader getting carried away? That will be a first :) the good thing about readers is that there is always a passion for what they read.
And it spills over into words.

I was chatting to one of my daughters earlier as she is keen to read CMIII so suggested she start with Stacking Doll. It will be interesting to see her reaction as she normally reads love stories in the traditional sense.
Always fun to see how people react to a book, everyone takes something different from it.

You are right, Douglas. I believe that readers are among the most passionate people on Earth. I read all the reviews that my friends post and reviews from others that just look interesting. I've found some really good reads from reading reviews that I wasn't sure about at first. Jonetta: Thanks for giving us a place to "discuss". I wondered if something like this wouldn't eventually become necessary but I guess "necessary" reared it's ugly head sooner than you anticipated:) Looks like your "new baby" has taken off very successfully!
So, I'm just setting here reading my book when SoCal gets hit by a 4.3 earthquake. The epicenter was 3 miles from my house and it shook, bad. Think I'll refill my wine glass and pick my Kindle up off the floor. Kinda all shook up here tonight.

Thank you all for your concern. It was the worst shake I've felt in a really long time. Shook me up real good especially since I was home alone. My husband and grandkids were at church for 'Kids Night Out". My oldest daughter felt it too. Middle daughter was at the Hollywood Bowl and didn't feel it at all, same for youngest who was camped in the desert for dirt biking this weekend.

They'd been there about two months when they had a "small" earthquake. My grandmother said she hid under the bed and said she wasn't coming out until my grandfather got her completely out of California. As kids we laughed about it but I bet it was scary. Hope you are okay.
Carol, I can understand your grandmother's reaction, it can be a terrifying experience. I'll take my occasional earthquakes over hurricanes and tornadoes any day. We'er all fine. No damage anywhere. The big news story was the Carson (where the quake hit) refineries shutting down and doing an emergency burn off of anything in their pipe system.

Glad all is well for you. I guess everywhere has some down side to it. I grew up in Florida and now I live in Michigan and sometimes the ice and snow is a bit too much, espeially for driving.
Happy Birthday, Jonetta! I'm late to the party.I've been reading ARCs, but due to publisher approval guidelines, I haven't been able to post my reviews yet. However, I should be getting to some that I can post soon.
Julie Garwood has a new book to be published in 2022
Grace Under Fire"Grace Under Fire"Grace Isabel MacKenna had a hundred things to do today. Killing someone wasn’t one of them. It was supposed to be a quick visit to Boston for the Buchanan anniversary party, then on to Scotland to collect an inheritance. She checks into the hotel and then decides to go for a brisk walk. But after getting lost she ends up with a wounded man stumbling into her arms, and then his shooter coming after them both. When she fires back in self-defense, she doesn’t expect him to drop dead. Thanks to the Buchanans dispatching Navy SEAL and now a lawyer Michael Buchanan to help her deal with the police, Isabel endures hours of interrogation and is finally free to go.
Isabel knows she should be grateful for Michael’s help, but since she’s harbored an extreme dislike for him for years, gratitude is difficult to muster. Michael has appointed himself her de facto guardian, and she’s stuck with him despite their constant bickering and sizzling attraction. Even when Isabel goes to Scotland to claim her inheritance, Michael follows her, but he isn’t the only thing she can’t shake. Mysterious threats against Isabel surface, and before they can deal with their growing feelings for each other, Michael and Isabel must first survive.

Wow! That’s a new book in her Buchanan-Renard series! It will be five years since the last one was released.
Way, way to long, but I'm just happy she is still writing! From the blurb it looks like it may tie back to her historicals. It wouldn't be the first time she did that. Julie Garwood is one of those authors I've read everything she wrote and loved them all.
Just want to thank everyone posting reviews! I love reading them and it makes it so much easier to access them quickly.
You’re killing my shelves, though😏

Jonetta I'm thankful that you started this group, I was missing so many reviews from friends :( I still am and it's so frustrating and time consuming :(
Jonetta wrote: "I’m glad it’s also working for you, too. I used to be able to fly through that daily email."I know Jonetta it's really frustrating and even though I have my top friends listed and the others unchecked, I still don't get most of my friend's reviews. They have been WORKING ON A FIX for about 2 years :(
Thanks again
