March 2015 Group Read Suggestions
I'd suggest anything from the Bram Stoker Awards "Best Novel" prelim list. And I AM on it (full disclosure), so I will also "recuse" my own book - I think Jade Sky is a great one, ditto The Reborn. Here's the list:

The Final Winter by Iain Rob WrightWith all the snowfall in the eastern US, how about something with lots of snow? I live in AZ so reading about snow is the only way I can experience it. :-)

by Nick Cutter?"I just finished his previous book, The Troop, and already have the above on hold at the library. :)
Patient Zerowho does not like a good zombie book. With science progressing the way it is makes this book all the scarier.
Plus nice to see book feature your hometown :-)
I would like to suggest a beautiful short story collection: "North American Lake Monsters"
By Nathan Ballingrud

The Burning Dark, Adam Christopher
The Vines, Christopher Rice
I'd like to finally give Jonathan Janz his due on here with a group read of his new one, The Nightmare Girl.

That's been in my backlog for quite a while, I could get behind this one.
I think this one is "brand new", also in a GR giveaway, and recommended by Neil Gaiman: The Glittering World I also think the suggestions already posted are great. And of course my repetitive suggestion;) Revival
Could I suggest we try All or Nothing by Stuart Keane it's his first full-length novel and I've enjoyed 2 novellas he put out. For disclosure, I worked with him in an anthology, but that's because I enjoyed his other work.

This first sentence of it's synopsis creeped me out enough to want to read it. LOL --- (I hate clowns).
"The clown suddenly appeared beside a group of kids at the candy floss van, bringing Kira to an abrupt halt."
Well aleister crowley is a formidable writer and has written many books on demonology and occultism , how about that.
The forest of hands and teeth by Carrie Ryan.Apartment 16 by Adam Nevill.
Kin by Kealan Patrick Burke.
The girl next door by Jack Ketchum.

Just finished Revival. Still trying to decide how I feel about it. Kept me entertained the entire time, but did not see that ending coming.

by Steve Rasnic Tem. Been meaning to read that for a while.
I'd like to see "This Darkness Light" by MichaelBrent - and not just because he is in this thread. I actually have that one and need to read it (I have a copy as a HWA member, so got it for free). I read his Crime Seen a few months back and liked it a lot, so want to read more.
I like your excitement, HA members. Fantastic choices so far! (And the one who nominated his own book is now out of the running.)
I plan on the poll having a good amount of choices, so keep your suggestions coming! :)

The zombie genre may be considered over done by some people, but this series brings it back to life!
A considerably short read. This book has something for every horror aficionado.
Wow, really liking so many of the suggestions! I could add some but I think the ones already mentioned would all be good reads.
I'm reading Broken Monsters right now, so I'm happy if that's on the list. (Unless it bumps Maxine's splendid choice, of course). If we do read it, y'all invited over to my house for a "Broken Monsters" tour since it takes place down the street, just a five iron shot across the other side of the tracks.
If Richard Laymon can get 132 posts in only 10 days, I'd like to see how many Edward Lee can get. Any Lee works but I'll throw in Slither.

Gosh I loved that book!

No kidding, that's great to hear, I've only read his short stories so far. He has a way of sneaking up on the reader.. sometimes it's a while until you realize that he pulled the rug from under your feet and the story plunges into some nutso zone, love that.

Kin is legend that cannot be defeated but I'd still like to see Lee in a poll. Both authors kick ass.

Well said, Kasia! I agree. :)

Yep. I don't see how it could not be good. :)

I will nominate Speaks the Nightbird by Robert R. McCammon. It happens to be available on Kindle Unlimited.
