Allie (thebookisha11ie) | 6 comments Hello! Checking if anyone who's following this group is still interested? I am not the creator but I was really looking for a group under this topic. For Hispanic Heritage I am reading some books by Silvia Moreno-Garcia and wanted to see what you all were reading? I hope this group picks up! I'm willing to get it going if needed.

Brianna | 1 comments Hey I just joined! I’m very interested in following a book club/book of the month group. I am in the middle of reading a few books. I’m trying to make this September/October reads focus on immigrant stories and stories with Latinx/Hispanic authors. I’m currently reading hurricane season, for brown girls with sharp edges and tender hearts, and when the spirit catches you and you fall down. I would love to hear what y’all are reading.

Allie (thebookisha11ie) | 6 comments Hi Briana! I'm happy you joined! for September and October I'm also reading latinx authors. Well, I picked one author who had multiple books. I read Velvet Was The Night and am wrapping up The Beautiful Ones both by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. Then I have some witchy reads for October from another book club I'm in which choose seasonal picks.

Jocelyn Lopez | 1 comments I see this was a couple of months ago but I just joined and I'm looking for more Latinx author recommendations. I just finished When We Make it by Elizabet Velasquez.

Allie (thebookisha11ie) | 6 comments Hello! I hope this group gets more traction!

I have only read Silvia Moreno-Garcia so far and I've enjoyed her. I read Soul of A Woman by Isabel Allende and now would like to read more of her work!

Lilianna Carranza | 1 comments I’ve found some great Latine authors by following ones I know about on ig. They all follow each other lowkey. We are a supportive community. I’ve adored Silvia I Moreno-García Alexis Daria, Priscilla Oliveras, Zoraida Cordova, Prisca Dorcas Mojica Rodríguez and many more. Im excited to see where this group goes. I adore BIPOC authors that understand our communities unspoken language.
