I finished this in September but am just getting around to posting my review. I selected this book because it involved friends and road trips...two things that I love. The book was much better than I expected. That was a great surpise.

Three best friends from college still live in the same town together but their friendships are not as close. When Katie's cancer comes out of remission, she asks Holly and Sam to go to California to retrieve her dog that her ex-husband toook in the divorce out of spite. Since Holly and Sam have not really spoken since college, they have the whole trip to reconsile their issues.

The book covers several issues including friendship, communication, and finding yourself again. It did make me cry, but it also made me smile.
