A lot of people did not like the sequel, I actually liked it more. I thought the third was beautiful as well.
I enjoyed this as much as I did the first of the series. Louise is back but, of course, Will is gone but not from her memories. Its been 2 years and she is still mourning in many ways. She has a job at at pub in the airport and she quite likes the job but even that is changing in really annoying ways. Nevertheless, Louise is going to stick it out. She had taken some time to spend the money Will left her by traveling, alone, to many places before heading home and taking the job. She used the rest of the money to buy a flat in a new development but she hasn't bothered to make it look like anything permanent. It's just a place to lay her head. She enjoys going to the roof but she takes way too many chances and the book starts pretty much with a disastrous event that takes her from that roof.
Louise agrees to go to a grief group and we learn how other members deal with their grief too. She doesn't have much faith that this will help her at all. But, she made a promise and she'll keep it just like she'll keep working for the rotten manager of the pub.
But life is funny and Moyes makes us care about the characters, Louise in particular but also others who crash into her life. There's also one character you can greatly dislike! Excellent story that I was so happy Moyes decided to write a sequel. I'm also pleased there is another one for me to read!
