Alva waited patiently within the reception room, having been asked to wait there comfortably while they summoned the princess. He was a bit nervous. After all, the two of them were going to be engaged. He hadn't met her prior and honestly, he knew nothing more than the girl's name. However, his parents had told him that this engagement was very important and he couldn't screw it up. It was political of course. However, most relationships in high-society were. While he was nervous, he needed to make a good first impression, so he was doing his best to appear calm. Though, it was very clear he was tense. He waited patiently. Honestly, for all he knew, he might be waiting there for hours. He was told that she might not even show up and not to be surprised if she didn't. Of course, with her parents pressuring her, he wasn't sure how she could possibly ditch. He knew he couldn't find himself doing that. He'd be too scared to. His fingers intertwined with each other as he leaned forward a bit. He needed to make a good first impression.

Aera was practically dragged to the reception room by her mother, the majestic looking woman's long and sharp nails digging slightly into her arm as Aera cussed like a sailor under her breath, not even fighting back anymore but still angry and desperate nonetheless. Did she have anything to worry about? Probably not, as her old suitors were easily scared away, and how could she not as her parents had a very special skill for picking out the most obnoxious men for her to potentially marry. Most likely because they thought that someone even more horrible to be around with than her would tame her, but they were horribly wrong. Her mother hissed in her ear to behave unless she wanted to be under house arrest, to which Aera rolled her eyes and smoothed down her dark green dress with tasteful black accents, just slightly nervous. The doors opened and she walked in with the patent fake smile as she moved her gaze to land on the well-dressed and silver-haired man in the center, walking towards him with her jaw clenched hard, curtsying slightly after she was introduced by her mother and just waiting for when she could go.

Alva stood up once they walked in, a bit stiff. However, he took a deep breath and tried to keep calm. Despite being completely stiff and the fact that his heart was ready to leap out of his chest, he remained a calm, poker face. He listened to the queen's introduction and nodded before looking over at Aera. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Princess. My name is Alva de monpezat. If you wish to, you may call me Alva or just Al." He said, bowing in greeting. "I apologize for the late greeting. My parents couldn't attend this evening due to having been tied up with work and asked me to relay their utmost apologies," he spoke. Honestly, while he seemed calm, he was just repeating everything he had been told to say. Minus the nickname part. His parents would throw a fit if they found out that he willingly told her to drop titles. While this was supposed to be a reunion to maintain peace between their kingdoms, his parents were very prideful people. A bit snobbish as well. Even though this was being done for better relations, they would hate for someone of the schreave royal family to refer to their 'esteemed' family in any way less than respectful. But, if they were truly going to get married as their parents wished, he didn't see the point in being hard-headed. The male was extremely pale and slender. While his hair was short, he had a girly face and only stood around 5'4". He probably would be more believable as a girl than a prince. Though, just because he was a bit feminine didn't mean he wasn't male.
