Ms. Ford was sitting at her desk, grading videos. Yes, videos. She had secret and not-so-secret cameras all around the room, in which she watched her student steals from others. On purpose, of course. She looked up at approaching footsteps and found her daughter, Ella had entered. "Hello, Mother." "Darling, I didn't think I'd see you til tonight." "I had a break between classes." "Oh, well isn't that wonderful!" "It is indeed. I can't stay long though, I need to study for a class."
Ms. Ford sighed with disappointment. She took a sip from her coffee cup next to her. "Well, then, darling, I will see you at dinner tonight."
Ella smiled and squeezed her mother's hand, "Yes, you will." Ella turned and left Ms. Ford's classroom, hurring off to study someplace quiet.
