Here is just a sample of some of my contemporary writing from a while back, hope you Enjoy!
Prologue: TDOW, At It Again, and This Time for Good. The SMART (Special Missions around Rising Tides) was a covert operation, not many joined and the only ones that did were the gifted in certain areas. They searched out the key people for this organization. If they saw something they liked about a person, they would steal them away and perform something on them. This was all the people of the local area knew about them, nothing else. Their leader Samuel S. Sherman made sure of this, mainly to keep his organization under the radar, and away from their greatest enemy The TDOW (The Dominating of the World) their rivalry was also known to the people. TDOW was a ruthless, terrorist organization, and there one goal, as it had been for years, was to overrule the government. SMART was the organization that had stopped them every time they tried, the last time was ten years ago and now they were ready to do it again. * * * * * The alarm in the SMART agency almost never went off at two in the morning, this was rare. Samuel S. Sherman jumped from his cot ready for action. The man was young by some standards to have hold of an entire government agency. He was thirty-one and so far had done a great job his first year. He was tall and muscular, but not very bulky. He aired more on the skinny side. His dark blue eyes pierced around the darkness looking for his rifle and his belt of ammo; there it was, in the right corner of the room. He began to reach for the gun when a large bang hit his door. He grabbed the rifle and walked cautiously to the door. He opened it slowly. It was his loyal assistant Daniel Young, twenty years old, and the best computer worker they had ever had in the agency. The young man had a Sig Saur grasped tightly in his hand. Samuel leaned against the door. “Don’t tell me this is TDOW again, they haven’t made an attack for at least three months!” Daniel shook his head. “Its worse, it looks like they attacked the capitol and killed the State Rep.” Samuel stomped the ground. “Damn it, this isn’t good, let me grab my stuff. We will sort this out.” He threw his combat belt around his chest and slid his sleek Glock 18 into the holster. He shouldered his M4 and ran out the door. “Come on Dan, let’s go!” They raced through the maze of tunnels that made up the agency, it was completely underground and the entrance was at the surface. The elevator was just a few yards away. Samuel pulled to a stop by the door, and quickly pressed the up button. The elevator made its familiar grinding noise and the door pulled open. Samuel rushed inside followed by Daniel. “How bad is the rest of the damage?” Samuel said pressing the button with the label E “They took the papers, the government shut down ones for this state. They already have the papers for twenty five others. They only have to get twenty four more, and that should be easy work. If we don’t stop them they could shut down the whole government and you know what would happen then?” “I know we need to stop them. I can’t believe they are trying this again, it’s been ten years. I think it is time to test the BURN serum, this time we may need a hero.” “But do we have a candidate, how do you know it will work?” Samuel opened the doors of the Elevator. “If God wants to save this country then I know it will work.” Daniel nodded in agreement. “I guess your right; let’s hope God is looking out for us.” A Black car was waiting outside for them. They climbed inside and shut the door. Within minutes they were on there way to Honolulu, the capital of Hawaii. * * * * * Commander Mel Lyon, second in command to the leader of TDOW stood over the body of the State Rep of Hawaii, who was dead with five bullet holes in his head. Lyon was watching the man at the computer type the code to get the government shut down files. The man typed a last few things on the computer then pressed enter. A bright green light flashed and a File transfer complete sign flashed on the screen. He pulled his flash drive from the computer. It was tightly encrypted and only a master hacker could crack the code. This flash drive contained the twenty six files, only twenty-four left. The man turned to Lyon. “Sir, the transfer is complete what do you want me to do with this?” He held out the flash drive. Lyon took in and smiled. “I’ll take that, you can remove this body, dump it somewhere it wont be found easily and meet me out at the car.” Commander Lyon flipped the drive around his fingers then slowly pushed it into his outstretched arm. The drive pushed into his arm like a knife through butter. The opening closed over the drive and Lyon gave a small cry of pain. He raced to the window of the building and jumped out the window. He spread his arms out and black wings shot from his back. He drifted to the ground and landed lightly in front of a black sedan. A civilian came from around a back alley and saw him in the middle of the road, sporting huge black wings. The man reached robotically for his cell phone, which he dropped a moment later when a sharp blade was thrust through his chest. He gasped and fell to the ground with a thud. Lyon pulled his arm, which had transformed into a metal blade back to him. It changed to an arm and Lyon pulled open the door of the sedan and sat inside. “Bring me to the agency; I need to have a word with the boss.” The driver nodded silently and put the car into gear. They drove of into silence. * * * * * “Stop here!” Samuel jumped out of the car his rifle to his shoulder. The capitol looked the same as always, except for the gruesome image of the State Rep hanging from the top. “Damn it! Another life completely wasted for nothing, Daniel we need to cut him down.” Daniel put his gun into his holster and sighed. “We could risk our cover if we do that.” “I know, but this man deserves a proper burial and the people can give it to him better if he is at least placed at the doorstep.” Daniel wasn’t listening. He had his eyes directed to the impaled citizen sprawled out by the door. “Um... sir, look at him.” Samuel turned his head to see the man on the ground. He raced over to the body. Blood was sprayed on the wall behind him, and the man was slumped his head on his chest dead, a large blade like hole in his chest. Samuel shook his head in defeat. “Daniel, this isn’t just the agency we are working with now. They have deployed the Crow.” A look of misunderstanding clouded Daniel’s eyes. “What do you mean by the Crow?” Samuel sighed. “Get the Rep down, then I will debrief you in the car. Just know that this is something bigger than we have dealt with before, and only God knows if we will make it through this. Now get a move on soldier!” Samuel opened the car door and slid into his seat, a thousand thought buzzing through his mind.
