Jacob swankered in and plopped down at the bar seats..

Keyla happened to be sitting right next to Jacob whenever he sits down, she only looks up at him for a second then goes back down to her book and continues to read and look around at those around her

“Heyya,” Jacob says quietly, “whatca reading, darling?”

keyla hesitates before answering: “im reading a book on owlbears”

Jacobs Eye brows lift to his hair line, “what now?”

keyla chuckles and says “you ~don’t~ know what an owl bear is???”

Jacob shakes his head, “no, my dear, I’m afraid I haven’t ever had the pleasure.”

keyla looks up from her book and looks around for the bartender and puts up 2 fingers and mouths the word “tea” to him

“wait who are you? i’ve never seen you”

Jacob stands up with great flourish, “well, you see my dear,” he bows low, “I am sir Jacob, I fought in the first regiment and served for twenty year in that army.” He sits back down next to her and leans close. “And man am I glad I’m done” he quirks a smile. “And you, my dear? Who might you be? And are you even old enough to be in a pub?”

“we’ll i *cursteys* am Keyla Jackson, my father owns the Jackson traveling library business and currently i’m training to be a master wizard”

He opens his eyes wide, “A library! How wonderful! I would indeed love to check out this traveling library one day! And a wizard! Darling, I have met many wizards in my time but never as gorgeous as you, I’m afraid for you to become one of them would be insulting to beauty it’s self!”

keyla starts to say something and then just goes “beinsbsh, um thank you”

Jacob smiled at her, “so then, how does a lovey witch like you find herself in pub like this?” He says, Waving an arm around the pub

“well normally i walk around the town while reading and just looking at the beauty around us but i wanted something different today so that’s how i ended up here” keyla smiles and than takes off her glasses and cleans them with her cloak and puts them back on

He smiles, “you truely are beauty to behold.” He takes a long swig of his beer. “Where’s your family at now then?” He asks

“well my mother is probably taking care of my baby sister and brother, and my dad is at his library” keyla
replies “do you have any family here?”

He snorts, and doesn’t answer the question. “You have a little sibling? How adorable.” He nods to the bar keep and a new beer appears in front of him, he gulps half in one swig.

“2 actually, they’re only 1 year old and a they’re a handful already!” keyla takes a sip of her tea and then jots down something in her notebook
