No. I thought he was serious. He has talked to Kim more than once about mentoring her team and preparing them to advance. I believe he is trying to do that for Kim. He wants to see how she will handle the desk. At this point, I don't think Kim is ready.
He's serious. As Sharon mentions, Woody wants to prepare Kim for the next step in her career which would probably be stepping into his shoes. And, I agree. Kim isn't ready to do Woody's job. She is the kind of person who wants to stay in the field and not direct people from behind a desk.
No, I thought he was very serious. He is obviously preparing for retirement and sees her as the one to take over.
He was dead serious. Woody knows that she has to be ready to move up whether she wants to or not.
