I knew from the start that they were going to connect because that is what Marsons does. I didn't begin to dig into a connection until Stacey started to believe that Sean was wrongly convicted even though I still didn't see how they were going to connect.
I didn't really think about the fact that the cases might be connected until someone put up a timeline showing how the killer had escalated. When Stacey mentioned that the killer jumped from an assault to murder, I knew that the two rapes had to fit in between them.
When the pair aspect of the case started to surface, it make me think back to the difference in the two rape cases.
Lynn, that’s about when the light bulb went off for me, too. Also, the scratches were a big clue. It was pretty early that my suspicions were raised. But I first had to reconcile that Sean might not have raped Gemma. That was a hard hurdle for me to get across.
