I thought that it might be a woman just because they were using a foreign object, but I wasn't sold on the idea. Both Gemma and Lesley insisted that it was a man who attacked them. I wondered about the possibility of there being two perpetrators, but thought the rapes were too much alike for that to be the case.
I did wonder if it might be a woman, but like, Robin, I didn't really take that idea seriously until later.
I believed very early on that it might be a woman because a foreign object was used in all of the cases. It was the pair thing that was hanging me up because I refused to believe two women would be doing this.

I agree. Marsons does have interesting points of view that she throws out there to throw readers off or give clues. I saw a true crime show recently where the murderer (male) used foreign objects on his victims because he was impotent. I guess that is why a woman didn't jump to my mind.
