Kim tries to make up for her berating the team by making cookies but Jasper also resumed his baking. Did this moment provide the needed balm or just a very funny time?

Both. Kim is so good at her job, but a terrible baker. She doesn't quit trying though. She was grateful that Jasper came to the rescue.

Oh, I can so identify with Kim because I am such a lousy cook and have made some things that members of my family have tried to eat and be pleasant about but obviously hated. The whole thing was so funny to me for that reason alone.

I cracked up. The first biscuits (and last) I ever made could break a window. They got the gesture but their reactions were priceless.

It was an adorable moment.
I cannot imagine Kim baking, lol!
