Hey! This readalong group was founded at a perfect time because I just started reading the first book in the series :) Great to be part of this! I think that chatting with you guys will make the reading process much more fun!
I'm glad to hear you are well! I haven't actually ordered them yet; I'm planning on borrowing them from the library. I've heard a lot about the series so when I was invited to join, I thought, why not?
Good to have you all here!! ❤️I wanted to do this challenge for myself at first, but then I thought, that how great it would be to have people to talk about them while reading!! 😍
I heard it's good to have people to discuss these with you, because anything you try to google, will spoil you 😅💩
And I love having buddy reads with everyone 😊
Perfect timing then Ida-Maria!! 😁👌
Michael Jones wrote: "I have just started reading the series again. Hope I can finish it this time lol."I hope this group will help you with that 😃🤞
My husband loves this series and I have been intimidated....I'm a bit nervous about the length but more worried about the fantasy part. I've struggled with other books that seem similar like Robin Hobb booms or Lies of Locke Lamora. Hoping I like the first one enough to get me moving through the series.
Kimberly wrote: "My husband loves this series and I have been intimidated....I'm a bit nervous about the length but more worried about the fantasy part. I've struggled with other books that seem similar like Robin ..."I totally understand, these are not small books 🙈
But if it's easier for you, don't take a preasure to finish the whole series, you can do your own goeal, to read as many as you want 😊
I've heard you should read the first 4 books to get into the series well 🙈
So don't give up on the 1st book even if it seems like you can't keep up with it!
That's why we are here, to support each other to get through the hard parts 😅
How many of you are planning on starting the series already this year, to get a head start?I've been thinking if I should... 😅 Just in case
Well I have already started the first one as an audiobook (in Finnish) but I think I may read the first book again as an e-book (already purchased) as well but in English before our deadline :D Mostly because I often listen audiobooks while I’m walking my dog and when I have to concentrate on what my dog is doing my thoughts drift away from the book and I unintentionally skip some tiny bits. And I may want to read them all in English because somehow the last books are yet to be translated and one book in English is divided into two books in Finnish.
How about you? :)
I just got my first book on mail, and I think I should at least start reading it in December 😅I'll keep a notebook while reading, so I remember the characters better 😄
I'm little worried, because some books are way bigger than others (the books are about 700-1000 pages) So a head start sounds good to me 😆
Hi everyone! I just found this group and am considering joining the readalong. A couple of years ago I tried reading the series, but never made it past the 4th book. I am super excited for the tv series that will come out tomorrow, and really want to give the books another try. This group might be exactly what I need! :)
Yay, welcome, I hope you can join us :) I'm so excited to start the show too! We have a chat for that too in here ^^
Can’t wait to start the read along!! I finished the first book before the TV show came out but haven’t started the second one yet! I’m going to wait to read it with the group!!! It will be nice to be able to discuss!!

Hey everyone! Super excited to start reading this series, I’m new to adult fantasy so I might start late December. Should be lots of fun

Two questions... possibly because I'm not use to Goodreads groups so looking for guidance1. I can only see the group discussion board in a browser and not on the app. I can see other groups I belong to in the app just fine. Anyone else? 2. How do I share the group so others can join?
Kimberly wrote: "Okay... answered my own question on invites.. finally clicked on the right thing. 🤦"Hi 😊
So you still can't see the group on your app? But you see other groups you're in? 😶
That's weird, I can see it fine...
On the main page, down right corner has menu, and there is an icon" groups"
Can you find it there?
Yeah the group shows but like nothing that has happened in the group. I typing this in a browser because the discussion boards don't show up. I took a screenshot but I don't know if this will let me post it.
On the browser, you can change the notification setting: edit membership, leave group. Then join again, and it will ask you email notification settings. Choose "notifications only"I don't know how to do this when you are already in a group, so leave and come back. Hopefully this helps :)
Hello everyone, nice to be here! I made my self a goal to read one book of this series per month in 2022 (if i end up likeing it) so this idea seems perfect. Just hope the language isn't too difficult and you all won't get tired of my never ending typos, since english isn't my first language.Hopefully the first two i ordered arrives soon. My countrys mail delivery is pretty bad...
Really looking forward to January! :D

Hi, I'm new here. I was randomly looking for some WoT groups and this one came up.I have pretty much all of the books now except 4-6 (really hoping I get those for Christmas but if not I'll just order them). I was impatient for the others.
*****
Right, so I'm Ron. I got into WoT via the tv series and was hooked. I was stoked to discover they were based on books. Now I'm looking forward to reading them. I've started book 1 and am almost halfway through but I've kind of stopped only so I can savor it a bit longer.
Looking forward to chatting with all of you.
Hi and welcome :DOh, so you are enjoying the first book then!? I bought the first 4 books so far, buying more next year <3
Can't believe the year is about to change and we can all get into the series :D

Thanks. And yeah I'm enjoying the first book. I'm only at page 340 or so. Kind of want to take my time to savor it but then I keep reminding myself I have 15 books so best to keep them going. LOL!
Also looking forward to getting into the series with all of you, both in terms of the show and the books.
Anyone knows how much of the books the tv show covers? Or is it one of those ones that dosent go in same line as the books (like withcer) which spoil sáme time multiple things in different books? After what point of reading could/should i watch the tv series?
Ruusu wrote: "Anyone knows how much of the books the tv show covers? With only 8 episodes of the show for season I would think they could only cover so much.
Personally to me it doesn't matter. I love when shows/movies have similarities but aren't always the same.
I first started the tv show before I started reading the book.
Ron wrote: "Ruusu wrote: "Anyone knows how much of the books the tv show covers? Many times, it's nice if adoption of the book can focus on some different things more that books could't. For example good characters that meaby didn't get that much of covering as they could have deserved. And if done right.
Meaby after the second book i will watch the series.
Yeah. It's cool when they do match up and I like that don't get me wrong but at the same time because there's so much information in the books it's always hard to fit everything in such a certain amount of time which I love because it makes both stand out in their own way.
Hello! I know I’m probably cutting you guys off in mid chat, but I just wanted to say hello and thanks for the group. I am excited to be apart of it. I have several of the books on my shelf collecting dust over the years and attempted to read the series for a long time. I’ve only ever made it to book five! Finding this group will hopefully motivate me to do the series’s this upcoming year!Anyways, thanks again! Carry on…
Hi Topher. Welcome to the group. By all means, feel free to join in. The more the merrier as they say.Look forward to chatting with all of you about TWoT series.
Ruusu wrote: "Anyone knows how much of the books the tv show covers? But they also changed some bigger things there I heard.

I heard this weekend from the die hard fans in my extended family (like they named their daughter after a character) that the TV show is very disappointing and not really like the books. Seemed to be a very typical book lover to adaptation response.
I really enjoyed the Tv Show in my opinion but I have not read the books yet!But I got up to Book 10 but there are some books arriving.. :)
