For me, They Both Die at the End, I wasn't as connected to the characters or even the ending as I wanted to be.

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

I loved it but I wasn't as connected to the characters, maybe I was trying not to be because I knew the ending.

Not the biggest fan of Mockingjay. It was really disappointing.

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

catching fire and mockingjay were both disappointing

☀︎El In Oz☀︎ (elinoz) | 66 comments I think all the books in the hunger games trilogy are perfect bc they were some of the first YA books to make mental health and PTSD and such struggles a main focus (like in mockingjay) and it also was made to make a specific point (I could write for hours how THG is the perfect dystopian series) that doesn’t need non stop action, but rather lots of background workings to get there. If you really think about the points it tried to make , the series as a whole is such a masterpiece.

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes, I agree but I think that the first one is my favourite, they are perfect in different ways

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

Catching Fire was my favorite. Yes, I agree the series as a whole was AMAZING, but Mockingjay was something I just couldn’t get into. I liked Catching Fire because I really liked the “Tournament Of Champions” kind of thing. Anyway, I loved the series as a whole, just not Mockingjay.

*me crying*

IKRRRR
i'm like NEAL SHUSTERMAN!!! what happened to your amazing writing skills? did they vanish after you published Thunderhead??? and the Toll is just so long, i've been cralwling through it and it makes me so sad because i really thought he had the potential to be able to make a trilogy be interesting and not lag out yk?

taylor reynolds | 89 comments I would say the ‘Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer’, very bummed. Also ‘Between the Blade and the Heart. It was terrible, do not recommend even picking up. Can’t be bothered reading the sequels.

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

The Gilded Ones disappointed me superbly
