At Max’s first meeting with Lucy & Andrew, Lucy immediately sees the connections that Max has identified. However, Max is used to being in control and bristles at Lucy’s demands to consult with her family alone. Did you believe this was going to be the first of many clashes to come or did you see signs that they just might make this work as Max relented?

I knew there would be clashes. I expected a lot of battles ahead. That said, I did sense that there was a foundation for mutual respect. Away from this case, I thought that Lucy and Max could be friends.

I fully expected that Max wouldn't tolerate Lucy's interference for long. The only way this would work was if Max bent and allowed Lucy to be her partner.

Oh, I buckled up for a bumpy ride. I should have had more faith in these two very bright women.

I thought that there would be some problems between them. They actually ended up working pretty well together. I was surprised.

Robin, I was surprised at how fast they did work together. That first morning when Lucy was by the elevator an hour early, I had to chuckle.

I was surprised that Max went along so easily. I thought for sure she would try an end run around Lucy at some other point.

I saw it as just the start of a rocky working relationship. While Max likes to work alone, Lucy has always worked with a team (or Sean).
I laughed as well, Charlene. That was an unexpected surprise.
I also see Max and Lucy becoming friends and I would love to see them work together again.
