When Sean learns that the action is about to happen in Los Angeles, he decides immediately to make the trip and be close to Lucy. Are they that connected? Why was it important for him to be there (in his mind)?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3501 comments They are connected. As soon as Lucy text him the situation, he knew, regardless of the outcome, that she would need him. Like he told Max, "there is only so much darkness a person can take before it consumes them."

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments I know that Sean cannot possibly be with Lucy for every take down she does. I don't think Lucy would allow that. This one is special to Lucy, this was Justin's killer and he wanted to be there for her letdown. To comfort and uplift her at that time.

Agree with you both. Sharon, that quote says it all. Sean knew Lucy was in the head of the killer and after the takedown, she’d be overwhelmed with the emotions of the case resolution and those associated with ending the questions surrounding the death of her best friend. He knew she’d be wrecked. She was.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments Yes, especially when we got to see their childhood relationship more clearly through Lucy's eyes, it was clear that she would be drained after the case was concluded.

Melissa (melissasd) | 676 comments I do think they are that connected, but I also think he wanted to be there because this case involved her family member. Sometimes his actions and protectiveness get on my nerves, but it was justified this time.
