I know that Sean cannot possibly be with Lucy for every take down she does. I don't think Lucy would allow that. This one is special to Lucy, this was Justin's killer and he wanted to be there for her letdown. To comfort and uplift her at that time.
Agree with you both. Sharon, that quote says it all. Sean knew Lucy was in the head of the killer and after the takedown, she’d be overwhelmed with the emotions of the case resolution and those associated with ending the questions surrounding the death of her best friend. He knew she’d be wrecked. She was.
Yes, especially when we got to see their childhood relationship more clearly through Lucy's eyes, it was clear that she would be drained after the case was concluded.
