I really want to read a book with a bee in the title so I guess I will need to figure out that location task. This one has me curled under my desk crying...Would All the Pretty Horses fit?

It checks off horse on the cover (depending on the edition you read) and horses in the story. The question is how much of it is set in Texas? It needs to be approximately 50%. I haven't read it myself, so you may have to check with others who have.

This is why I asked.
my cover is
which is kinda borderline and I am hoping that someone who has read it will comment.
Peggy wrote: "I think the task is that the word honey, sugar or sweet is in the title. So exact word :)"Ok. :-)
Esther wrote: "my cover is All the Pretty Horses (The Border Trilogy, #1) by Cormac McCarthy which is kinda borderline and I am hoping that someone who has read it will comment..."I am interested in the answer too. I might be convinced to throw over the book I currently have planned. ;o)
I was planning on reading The Texas Ranger. I bought it at a book sale and have never gotten around to reading it. It is only on my task because I also want to read a "bee" book.

This is the same book I came to ask about! And this cover is the one my library has so I am also interested in the answer
My answer is in message 3. You might want to put a question on the book page. Some kind person who has read it may tell you how much of it was set in Texas. Or, you might have to read it to see. From the book blurb and Wikipedia page, it sounds like most of it is set in Mexico.
Your task say "there is a horse in the story." I might be overthinking this. How important should that horse be? or if there are many horses? like horse thieves?
So I just went and read the cliff notes by chapter for All the Pretty Horses to see where it was taking place and it doesn't look like 50% is in Texas. The first chapter and last chapter (ch 4) are travelling chapters but 2 and 3 are entirely in Mexico
I am so bummed about Cormac McCarthy being set in Mexico! This prompt is killing me because I have zero interest in a cowboy romance which is almost all of what I can find at my library when I search Texas and look for a horse :/Maybe I will just reread News of the World. I know that book is good and they ride horses and it is set in Texas. I was wondering because Wichita Falls sounded like maybe not Texas, but I looked it up and it is.
Hey, Katrisa, how about this one? Half Broke Horses I have it on my TBR and actually own a copy.It sounds like it would fit, definately set in Texas and they do ride horses.

1. Location: Hidalgo, Texas. When I saw the name of the town, I immediately thought of the movie Hidalgo with Viggo Mortensen. That Hidalgo was a Mustang horse that was raced in Iraq.
Read a book set in Texas AND either has a horse on the cover or there is a horse in the story.
2. About: Killer bees crossed the border at Hidalgo, Texas in 1990. The town named itself the Killer Bee Capital of the World, stating that they bring honey as well as a sting.
Read a book with a bee on the cover or in the title.
3. Souvenir: A Jar of Honey
Read a book that has something sweet in the title - Honey, Sugar, or Sweet.
