Fall 2021: Wild Readers Group 5 discussion

The book 500 Words Or Less is about a girl names Nic who is a High school senior. She recently cheated on her boyfriend with his best friend. Her whole school knows about it. Her locker is getting written on, “whore” her classmates write and even call her to her face. So, she decides she wont spend her whole senior year with cheating as her reputation. She starts writing her classmates college admission essays in exchange for money. IN trying to see the world through the eyes of her classmates, she also ends up learning a lot about herself.

I didn’t enjoy this book much… The writer used a lot of cuss words and It was little too much for me. The book is written in perspective as a teenager so it makes sense and I also cuss a lot but it just was too much. I also didn’t feel like the book kept me clinging on. I want drama, I want the book to make me feel something and this book didn’t fulfill that for me at all. It might be in someone else lane, but it wasn't in mine.
