Np!! I've deleted two accounts due to creepy stalkers and stuff. It's kinda twice-a-year thing.
So the afterlife. I believe that when you die your soul receives general judgment. God is there and He decides whether to put you in Heaven, Hell, or Purgatory. If you do go to Purgatory then you will be purified with fire. It's painful, but at least you have been saved and you will enter Heaven eventually. That's why Catholics pray for the dead. We pray for those suffering in Purgatory so that they will be made clean much faster. After Purgatory then you get to enter Heaven forever until the last day when everyone will be judged again and our bodies will be resurrected.
Ooooh this is actually going to be really interesting! Okay, so as a protestant Christian, I believe that if you believe on Jesus Christ, that he has died for your sins and risen from the dead, you go to heaven. If you don't believe that, you sadly go to hell. And that's... pretty much it.
Yeah, I'm curious about purgatory. Is there supposed to be a certain amount of time someone's there?
Okay, I'm a non-denominational Christian, I believe, if you believe in God, that Jesus Christ is the messiah who died for your sins, and rose from the dead, AND submit yourself to him by following him, you are saved.I don't think by just believing he is real is enough, even Satan believes God/ Jesus is real, you must devote yourself to him and carry your cross. And on judgment day, God will either send you to heaven, or to hell.
I don't think anyone really knows how long someone has to stay in Purgatory. We just pray for the souls to get out soon. There was a saint, I forgot her name, but she asked God when her father died that she would suffer the pains her father would have to suffer in Purgatory so that he may go to Heaven.
Okay, Kaylee, I has a question for ye: where does it say in the Bible that purgatory is a thing? Idk it might just be in the Catholic Bible which would explain why I'm confused because I've never read the Catholic Bible...
This is interesting. I'm Muslim. I have a very different idea of life after death. I'll type it out later.
We Muslims believe that life after death starts from grave. In the grave, two angels, Munkar and Nakir (peace be upon them) ask us three questions. The questions are1.Who is your Lord?
2.What is your religion?
3.Who is this? {showing prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)}
We believe that believers who did good deeds will have an easy time in the grave while the others won't.
Then, at the end of the world, the trumpet will be blown and the whole world will crumple and everyone will die. Then for the second time, the trumpet will be blown and all the people will raise from their graves.
After that, everyone will gather at the ground Mahshar where the sun will be brought nearer and people's sweat will be like a river. People will go to all the prophets one by one and ask them to go and ask Allah to start the judgement. At last, prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) will go and plead to Allah to start the questioning.
So, Allah will accept his plea and the judgement will begin. Everyone will be judged and Records will be given. Those who did good will receive the Record in the right hand while the others will get in their left. There's a scale called meezan and it will be used to measure our deeds.
After that, everyone will have to cross the bridge called sirath which is over the hell. People will be able to cross it with different speeds according to their deeds. The disbelievers and people wgo did bad deeds will fall into the hell. The believer who did great deeds will be able to cross it with lightening speed that they would reach paradise quickly.
So in Islam, deeds with belief and Allah's mercy are important to go to paradise
I believe that one's soul goes into a resting place when the body dies. Not heaven or hell, but a something like a resting haven. On judgement day our souls will be resurrected and then put either with God or with Satan.
I think we will have new bodies, and no sensation of pain or death. As for what we do, well I believe we will be back in the garden of Eden. It will be much like what Adam and Eves life was like. We will be with God and worship him. I'm not entirely sure on the matter though.

Yes, we'll have bodies in paradise. Some of the verses from the Quran to answer your questions,
'As for˺ those who believe and do good, We will certainly house them in ˹elevated˺ mansions in Paradise, under which rivers flow, to stay there forever. How excellent is the reward for those who work ˹righteousness!'— (29;58)
The description of the Paradise promised to the righteous is that under it rivers flow; eternal is its fruit as well as its shade. That is the ˹ultimate˺ outcome for the righteous. But the outcome for the disbelievers is the Fire! (13;35)
Are these ˹humble believers˺ the ones you swore would never be shown Allah’s mercy?” ˹Finally, those on the heights will be told:˺ “Enter Paradise! There will be no fear for you, nor will you grieve.” (7:49)
The description of the Paradise promised to the righteous is that in it are rivers of fresh water, rivers of milk that never changes in taste, rivers of wine delicious to drink, and rivers of pure honey. There they will ˹also˺ have all kinds of fruit, and forgiveness from their Lord. ˹Can they be˺ like those who will stay in the Fire forever, left to drink boiling water that will tear apart their insides? (47:15)
Indeed, on that Day the residents of Paradise will be busy enjoying themselves. (36:55)

I agree
I agree
As a Catholic, I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins and if you believe in your heart that Jesus is the son of God confess it with your Lips as well as act accordingly. you will go to heaven.I believe that after death you are judged based on your deeds on earth and truly good people who believe and act according to the first statement will go to heaven.
But the fact is that almost no one is that good so there is the
in-between where most souls go called purgatory where you take the punishments for your sins according to the judgment of God. This is for people who are not YET pure enough for heaven but are not deserving of Hell
(If you had a really good confession before death and you repented then you will go straight to heaven because you are clear of sin)
I believe that hell is for people who insult the holy spirit (which is stated in the bible as the only unforgivable sin) and for people who commit atrocious sins (murder, rape, blasphemy) and REFUSE TO REPENT in life. Also for people who persecute Christians and REFUSE TO REPENT
But In the final Judgement when Jesus comes again, All souls in purgatory will go to Heaven, and after that, there will only be heaven or hell.

I didn't know which folder to put this in, so I decided to throw it in where all the Christians like to hang. XD
