I would like to join you in this. If, in the end, you decide to start a separate GR group, I will join you there. My personal preference is to get this from our library, however, it is "on order" and I don't know when it will be arriving so I might have to join you mid-stream whichever way you go with this.
Great, Darrin. I'm still not sure whether it will be here or in a new group but it's good to know there's someone else interested. There's no rush in joining in. Wherever I choose to start it, there will be a separate thread for each poem so you can even skip around in the anthology as you read it if that's what you like to do. I'm in slow reading mode at present so I'll probably read/examine/think on a poem or two a week and there are 75 poems, so yeah, no rush at all :-)
Hey Darrin, I've started a separate group here:

Or search
"The Best American Poetry" Annual Anthologies
The quotations are part of the title

I'm going to be reading Best American Poetry 2021 slowly, sort of a poem a week (which technically doesn't finish the whole book, which is fine). I was wondering if anyone here would be interested in doing that as well. If so, I'll start a discussion area for it and a thread for each poem to be discussed.
If folks here are not interested, I'll start a separate goodreads group for it.
Let me know your thoughts.
