Oh, no, they definitely benefit from each other's work. They have worked alone in the past and could do so again, but they are much more effective together. They are able to support one another because they understand the kind of work they are doing. They also know to ask for help when they need it.
I think they work well together. If one of them gets stuck while they're digging for information, the other digs in to help. Most of the time the second person picks up on something that the first one missed.
That rhythm is undefinable and should never be disrupted. It serves them and the cases extremely well. They’re really good on their own, outstanding as a team. Their respect for each other and competitive natures brings out the best in each of them without making silly mistakes in the process.
