Finally started. That was a very strange prologue!!

I quite like the fox's pov though! I wasn't sure at first but I've warmed to it. (hide spoiler)]

chapter 5 (view spoiler)[ I have no idea how she fell off either! Bitterblue needs to be more careful, she's a queen! I love that the sea cows rescued her though, they seem like really good eggs. (hide spoiler)]

chapter 6 (view spoiler)[ I actually like Lovisa a lot. I didn't think of be interested since I'm more invested in Bitterblue but her world is cool and I like seeing it from her perspective.

I really love how the Graceling Realm is expanding and fleshing out. While I'd love to see more books about Gracelings and Monsters, this new world beings new possibilities.

I love that Kristin Cashore has all these cool worlds and magic systems and she's managed to incorporate them into the same universe. (hide spoiler)]

chapter 8 @siobhan (view spoiler)[ you're absolutely right, Lovisa's mother is an absolute monster. Her father is awful too, for allowing his wife to abuse their children and doing nothing to stop it.

I enjoyed the Fox's POV too, I think I'm going to like him. (hide spoiler)]

I like the fox and the silbercows! Yay for animals!

The Keeper chapter before chapter 10 - (view spoiler)[ That was really cute and sad. The Keeper is scared and didn't want them bothering her, but then she was lonely when they left so hurt herself getting rid of the grenade, bless that was cute. I hope she helps them expose the murder of Bitterblue's people in that ship. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 21 - (view spoiler)[ Omgggg Benni has Bitterblue kept in his attic!! For some reason I thought they had Katu up there, so no idea where he's actually gone. How friggin crazy is this man! Lovisa thought her mam was the evil one and she didn't do this!!
I love that Ferla's fox is secretly on Lovisa's team bless him. Wish he could let her know somehow. (hide spoiler)]
