So, we will write a story sentence by sentence.

I start
The sun shone brightly, penetrating the glass and reaching my eyes, trying to wake me up at 7.

I rolled on my bed trying to avoid the light, but dad had put that glass over there so that most of the sunlight got absorbed and I woke up just as the sun was up. Ugh! I always closed the curtains as I slept, but he had put on a 'something' that drew back the curtains as soon as light flooded in.
