Name: kennie
Age: fourteen
Genre: realstic fiction, chick-lit with a whole lot of broken romance :)
Type of critique (i.e., alpha, beta, light, medium, harsh): medium-harsh and alpha (just don't break my heart lol. this is my first time writing realistic fiction. )
Type of buddy (I.e. just for fun, serious critique, etc): a medium-serious critique. but also for fun!
Anything else you'd like to add: this is a new book that i am working on and i only want - at least for now - the first five chapters edited, because i am putting those in a contest.
Age: 14
Genre: fantasy, kids/early ya fiction, magic, alternate world (I also do realistic fiction but not here)
Type of critique: light-medium, it’s a work in progress
Type of buddy: mostly just for fun, but also to help get my writing better.
Anything else you’d like to add: they are only going to be short stories. If anyone wants to read it I posted the link on the share your story topic.
Also if you are still looking for a buddy I’d be happy to read and critique your writing kennie if you want. I dont know how good i would be though bc I’ve never really done it before.
Name: BlueJayAge: Prefer not to say
Genre: Fantasy, Science fiction, and realistic fiction. Early/medium YA (for around ages 12-14). Some romance, but nothing that isn't accompanied by another genre (unless it's a short story). I like to write fantasy stories with royalty and kingdoms involved, as well as mythical creatures. I also like the cliche person suddenly finds out that they have magic power/ability , but I often add my own personal touches.
Type of critique: I'd say medium, but I'm definitely not rude or harsh in any way.
Type of buddy: I'm mostly a fun buddy!
Hey, Lily! If you still want a buddy, I would be happy to help!
Lily :) wrote: "Yes please! That’s like what my types of things are. Do you want to make a topic or something?"Yeah, let's do that!
Or we could chat through Goodreads, if you prefer that.

Do you have a WIP that you'd like help perfecting? Are you looking for alpha and/or beta readers?
You've appeared in the right thread! XD
Here's how this works: you'll get assigned a buddy, and you will exchange work and advice for a month or so. If you're finding the partnership to be helpful, you can opt to keep it, or you can get a new buddy.
The rules are simple:
1) Be honest
2) Be kind
3) Be constructive
4) Be active
If you break these rules, obviously no one is going to hurt you over it, but you might lose your buddy. Just a warning. :)
Okay, so here's the template:
